Symptoms
  • Sharp intermittent pain or dull ache with weight bearing e.g. up or down stairs.
  • Significant swelling along the joint line or ligaments.
  • Limited movement or stiffness at the knee joint.

What is Knee Pain?

Knee pain can be the result of chronic overuse leading to wearing of cartilage surfaces, inflammation of tendons, swelling of fat pads/bursae.

Other Symptoms Include:
  • Collapsing to the ground or giving way.
  • Poor balance.
  • Tendency to avoiding pressure through the knee.
  • Significant swelling along the joint line or ligaments.
  • Tightness in the back of the knee and hamstring.
