Headaches arising from musculoskeletal disorders of the cervical spine, termed cervicogenic headaches are a common form of repetitive headache. Stress and poor posture are key causes of headaches, the tension developed in the musculature of the upper back and neck transfers to the upper cervical spine which then stiffens joints which gives rise to headaches. They are very common in office workers who are seated for long periods in front of computers which invariably results in poor posture and muscle imbalances. Trigger Point Therapy can release simple headaches and neck strain. If symptoms persist seek medical advice.
